When martial law interrupted his good fortune, he left for the USA to work so that he could fulfil his dream of having his own steel furnace.
With the currency he earned, he bought a plot of land on which he built the Berta steelworks.
He became known as a local authority on glass and a great entrepreneur. He took over the Żar steelworks and bought the Pionki steelworks.
The Szydłowiec glassworks, with the graceful name “Gracja”, is where he began automatic glass production.
Together with his son, he built the new furnace that is the heart of today’s Trend Glass glassworks. The son’s enthusiasm brought a new dynamic to the company and accelerated the development of production technology.
The steelworks gained another furnace, which doubled production capacity, and the company began to handle larger and more complex orders.
